Senior Software Engineer - Kotlin, Arrow, Ktor

Stack: Kotlin, Arrow, Ktor

Location: Skane County, Sweden

Salary: Around SEK60k p/m

This business is the leading e-commerce business for commercial vehicles in Sweden. After a bunch of recent acquisitions, and shiny new platform built with Functional Kotlin, they are looking to scale their team with some new engineers.

This is a business with a global engineering team, and they are looking to increase the size of their Sweden office by 30% to handle increased demand.

You'll be working heavily with Kotlin in a functional style, making use of cutting edge technologies in the ecosystem such as Arrow and Ktor.

What will you do?

• Developing new, and maintaining existing microservices
• Create and event-driven architecture to manage their high level of events
• Work in a product-focused team, working in 2 week sprints to deliver their projects
• Support other engineers in the team through mentorship
• Take part in technical planning and decision making

What are we looking for?

• Strong experience as a backend engineer on the JVM (they use Kotlin, but Java/Scala experience is good)
• Somebody that is eager to work on Functional Programming
• Experience working within cloud environments (they use Azure, but GCP/AWS experience is valuable)
• Experience working with microservices or event-driven architecture
• Strong english speaking
• Computer Science Degree
